The Fighting for My Voice Advocate Team is here for you! 

Courtney is a board-certified special education advocate. She grew up on an IEP and is raising two children on IEPs. She has a background in speech therapy as an SLPA and helped pass a law for accessible changing tables in her home state of Arizona.

Carrie is a non-attorney special Education Advocate, certified through the national organization COPAA. She has a background as an elementary school ICT teacher, was an intern for Jordan LeVan, and is a mom to a child with multiple learning disabilities. 

Jordan is based in Greensboro, NC, and is a disability, mental health, and IEP advocate. He holds a BA in Psychology with a focus on mental health and a minor in Biology, plus an Orton-Gillingham Instruction certification. The author of “Jordan’s World” and “Jordan’s Journey's,” Jordan shares his experiences to promote acceptance and inclusion.

Module 6: Behaviors, FBA, BIP, & Manifestation Hearings.

Join us to understand the intricacies of managing behaviors in the educational setting, including Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs), Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), and Manifestation Hearings. This course will provide a comprehensive overview of how to address and support challenging behaviors through these essential processes.
