I work with other families to build IEPs, so I hesitated to hire someone to help me with my son's IEP. I am so glad I got over that because Courtney offered me a unique perspective, expertise, and verbiage to walk into our IEP meeting with confidence. She has so much to offer families of kids who learn differently, especially in the area of speech and language needs. I look forward to grabbing her Communication course too! I highly recommend her services.
Courtney is more than just an advocate; she brings compassion and knowledge in an area where most struggle to understand. There is a lot to consume with special education law, and Courtney assists you in gaining an understanding about that law and allows you to gain control over your child's education. Her passion for advocacy is evident in her approach to bringing clarity to situations in order for you, as the parent/guardian, and the school district to come to positive, successful solutions in regards to your child's education. She has helped our family navigate through a sea of difficult situations and has helped bring about peaceful resolutions.

After struggling with the school/district for the entire school year to get my peanut allergy daughter on a 504, Courtney helped me get it taken care of!!!! Not only is she incredibly professional, caring, attentive, and trustworthy, Courtney is extremely knowledgeable. She emailed documents to me beforehand so that I could be prepared. She also mentioned accommodations that I had never even thought of. Then she helped create a plan to follow up with the team. The amount of support she provided was PRICELESS! I got so emotional thinking about all of the people who could benefit from Courtney's services. She provided relief to this stressed-out mom. I am so grateful to her, and I feel as though I can finally sleep at night without having to stress about my daughter at school.
My husband and I had the pleasure of working with Courtney on our daughter’s IEP for the past several weeks. Courtney helped us understand IEP better and she guided/showed us the different options we had. She helped us write proper/formal letters to our team. She encouraged us to write a parental(vision) input statement, and it was a great hit. Thanks to her, we were prepared and for the first time we felt we were equal members of our daughter’s IEP team. We actually participated, asked questions, made suggestions, discussed goals and placements, and respectfully disagreed. Courtney’s first hand knowledge of IEPs was really helpful and useful. Who can understand you better than a person who is on the same journey? Courtney CAN. We're so thankful for her amazing support and passion.
